2023 Annual Report

At our core we’re a people-first organization, we recognize our people as our superpower, from each of our member-owners to each of our internal-owners. We look to add value to our members’ lives and support our internal-owners to do the best work they can each day, and in 2023 that was no exception.

Thank you for allowing us to be your partner and giving us the opportunity to exemplify Northern’s and the credit union industry’s philosophy of “people helping people.” We look to add value to our members’ lives and support our internal-owners to do the best work they can each day. The characteristics and virtues of our people come together to create Northern and Countryside Credit Union, an organization synonymous with quality, an ambitious spirit, and an enduring focus built to serve and empower our communities to live their best financial lives.

Among many highlights, we were able to:

  • Donate more than $123,000 to charitable causes in the communities we serve.
  • Assist 36 businesses in gaining a total of $15,029,605 in capital to purchase equipment, commercial real estate and access lines of credit.
  • Closed 142 mortgages, totaling $24,723,493.
  • Provide financial education through our partnership with Banzai to provide financial wellness resources to 58 North Country schools providing financial literacy curriculum to 3,700 local students including information about budgeting, saving money, borrowing and credit.
  • Help prevent $1,710,643.60 in fraud and hosted in-person fraud awareness workshops to educate our communities as we saw an increase in imposter fraud.
  • Ended 2023 with 72% of Countryside consumer-members and 52% of Countryside business-members having logged into Digital Banking.
